ATS convertible is probably going to happen, or at least it could and should happen. The platform can do it and the car is shooting directly at the 3/4 series.

The tail end of it is too high in the air.

On second thought, if the tail end were lower, this would look an awful lot like a Camaro convertible.

It would be a fun car to have in one of those "oh shit I'm terrified" all the time kind of way. The CTS-V already terrifies me with all that power. Add more body roll and it would be even more of a hoot!

I've never owned a convertible version of a sedan before. Closest I got was leasing a Merc E350 Coupe, which had the pillar-less greenhouse. It was crazy how much body roll that car had. It actually made the car kind of fun cause you could reach the handling limit on public roads without going 30 MPH over the speed limit around turns. A convertible CTS-V could be the same way, except way more fun when you get a green light and clear path of straight road ahead.

Well... yeah. But if the top had the metal bows slightly poking out like the ribs on some malnourished beast, I think it could be production worthy. Or at least the base CTS. I'd drive it.
